How will the 4pm Saturday Mass and the Sunday 9am Mass work at Holy Trinity?
We have begun preparing for the move of our two largest Masses to Holy Trinity for September, October, and November. We want to make this temporary transition as smooth and welcoming as possible. You can expect to see the following:
Extra volunteers at Masses to help with any questions or concerns
Added marked handicap parking along both sides of Holy Trinity Church, much as during the picnic
Extra parking Available on the Lawn Behind on the Church
A Police presence/assistance, when possible, when people are leaving the larger 4pm and 9am weekend Masses and traffic is busier
Old Fashioned Air Conditioners for when it is hot (aka parish Hand Fans)
Ushers to help you find a seat when it gets more full
An extra Mass on Sunday night to alleviate overcrowding at other Masses
Respacing the back two pews at Holy Trinity for those who struggle to get into the pews which are spaced more closely
Kindness + Common Sense (you will need to bring the patience)
Please Note:
The red seats in the back of Holy Trinity will be reserved for those who are handicap, have mobility issues, or who have trouble getting in and out of the pews. If you simply are Catholic and like to sit in the back row, we would invite you to the join the choir as they have the farthest away seats possible. Just kidding, if you simply are a back pew person we would ask you to sit a few rows from the back instead so that those with mobility issues can join us too.
There is no elevator at Holy Trinity and the bathrooms are in the basement. There is a lift chair that can help bring you downstairs, but it does require some mobility. If you need assistance please ask an usher!
We will face all of these challenges together- like getting in and out of the parking lot, and finding a new regular seat, etc… Please be patient with the process and each other. We got this.
Remember perspective is important: many in the world struggle to survive- we can endure waiting a few minutes to exit the parking lot- if you struggle with waiting and patience consider it practice for purgatory.
